When in Uptown, I enjoy Blue Restaurant & Bar in the Hearst Tower for high end Mediterranean. They offer delicious cooking classes with Executive Chef Gene Briggs. Also in Uptown I frequent BLT Steak in the Ritz-Carlton. I would describe it as a contemporary steak house and the service is excellent.
For authentic Northern Italian I enjoy Fiamma on Park Road in Dilworth. You will taste Italy here.
I also recommend Miro Spanish Grill in Ballantyne at Toringdon Market. It has been named best Spanish restaurant by Charlotte Magazine for a number of years.
In NoDa (North Davidson area) if you haven’t been yet, you must find Amelie’s French Bakery and Cabo Fish Taco. They have a “NoDo Crawl” certain days where you walk around and enjoy tastes of the restaurants and quite a few craft breweries there.
North of Charlotte in Huntersville I always enjoy the generous portions of steak and seafood at Mickey and Mooch. They are my default choice for my birthday as the huge slice of chocolate cake more than satisfies my sweet tooth.
North Harbor Club in Davidson is one of my favorites for waterfront dining and summer evening cocktails. They offer New American fine dining with a waterfront patio and boat slips for guests.
The Blue Parrot Grill in Mooresville is a relaxed bar and grill with a dog friendly patio with lake views.
Another favorite food venue popping up all over Charlotte is the Food Truck Rallies. I enjoy the variety of choices and try something new every time. It’s a wonderful family friendly evening out with neighbors and friends.
Enjoy!
