Charlotte, the wonderful city I call home has something for everyone. Our city is named in honor of Charlotte of Mecklenburg-Streilitz, the Queen of Great Britain and nicknamed “The Hornet’s Nest” derived during the American Revolutionary War. Charlotte is rich in history, with everything a big city offers and suburban living as well.
We are a few hours to the beach and a short drive to the mountains. Charlotte and the surrounding area offer a vast array of activities and events. We have museums, arts, theaters, The Carolina Panthers, The Charlotte Hornets, NASCAR, Championship golf and wonderful courses year round, Carowinds, lake communities, The US National Whitewater Center, great shopping and restaurants, concert venues, festivals and so much more.
